Hi!
Let me introduce myself:
My real name is Maaike, but online I go by the name: Menina. When I was a teenager I had a personal blog but I didn’t want to use my real name, so I had to think about something else. After a good night of sleep I came up with Menina. It’s Portuguese for girl and I’ve been using it ever since.
I live in Holland, I am ‘twenty-something’ and I work as a teacher. I finished my Master Special Educational Needs (Remedial Teacher) and I’m thinking my next big project. When you ask my friends for something typical ‘me’, everybody would answer: Addicted to shoes!
This blog started in september 2012. That day I made one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make in my life. I put myself on a shoe No-Buy. The rules are simple: no shoes for a year, no exceptions!
The main topic of ‘My Shoediction’ is my shoe ‘no-buy’. You can also read about fashion, beauty, nails and some personal things.
